Waterfall to Wollongong Cable Replacement Stage 1, 2 & 3Client – Sydney TrainsThe Global Network Solutions Team successfully completed the 32 km installation of 288-core fibre and 45 km of 30 pair copper cable between the Waterfall Communications Room and the Thirroul Communications Room within the existing and new cable route consisting of GST, GLT and underground pipe. In addition to the cable installation, The Global Network Solutions Team installed 9 x Under Line Crossings (ULX) and multiple installations of GST, GLT and Pit and Pipe communications routes. Given the fact that the majority of Rail Corridor between Waterfall and Thirroul runs through the National Park, Global Network Solutions developed an Environmental Management Plan to ensure absolute minimal impact on the sensitive area. Together with the GNS Safety Management Plans this project was completed with zero impact on the environment and zero incidents relating to OH&S and Rail safety. | |
